Tembo Tembo - Tanzania

$16.00

We were introduced to Leon through our friends at @typica.us , wanting to continue our work with Tanzanian coffee with a renewed focus on transparency. We’re happy to announce that this coffee is now available in our store and online.

This medium-dark roast coffee boasts a rich flavor profile with notes of black tea, bright lemon, and delicate rose. With a full body, it’s perfect for those seeking a bold, rounded cup. Enjoy it solo, or add milk for a creamy, delicious twist.

Farm: Tembo Tembo
Region: Oldeani (administrative ward), Karatu (district), Arusha (region)
Altitude: 1750m to 1850m

Processing Details: The cherries are carefully sorted in the field before being transported to the washing station for evening de-pulping. They undergo an open fermentation process lasting about 12-13 hours. After fermentation, the coffee is washed and graded to separate P1, P2, and floaters. The drying process on raised beds takes approximately 13-16 days, depending on weather conditions, until the parchment reaches a moisture content of 12% before being moved to the dry store.
