Finca Senda Salvaje—meaning “wild road”—is a place where jaguars roam the land. Owned by Mr. and Mrs. Carmelo, this farm has become a hub for the growing coffee community in Caranavi. Mr. Carmelo, a former quality manager for the Cup of Excellence, shared how he and his wife bought land from an elderly farmer, confident in its coffee-growing potential. The farm’s rich, dark soil and shade from fast-growing ceibo trees make it perfect for cultivating exceptional coffee—known for its unique flavors and ease of roasting.

The Carmelos have exported their coffee globally, but their distribution was halted six years ago due to rust disease. Now, thanks to TYPICA, their coffee is once again reaching international markets. The family’s passion and commitment to quality shine through in everything they do—from the coffee itself to the warm hospitality at their café.

The Carmelos’ story is a testament to resilience and dedication, and with TYPICA's support, their exceptional coffee is once again bringing joy to coffee lovers around the world
